ABERDEEN, 14 NOVEMBER 2006
After the first two years of very successful operations, Sonsub has extended the charter of the multi-purpose Construction Vessel NORMAND CUTTER with Solstad for a further 6 years firm (until 2013) plus options.
The Normand Cutter, the flagship of the Sonsub fleet, has recently proven its worth by completing some of the most challenging subsea construction projects, such as Ormen Lange and Skinfaks/Rimfaks in the Norwegian North Sea and is presently mobilising for the BP Nakika Umbilical to be laid in deep waters Gulf of Mexico.
The deployment of the Normand Cutter remains focused on fulfilling Sonsub's core business of Subsea Field Development and Light Construction on challenging projects and deep waters, within Europe and the Gulf of Mexico.
