Positioning and Survey
Sonsub has a highly experienced team of project surveyors which provides survey and positioning support for its own projects and also for Saipem projects. The team forms a core of survey knowledge that is used to ensure reliable and consistent survey services and also to facilitate the introduction of new systems and innovative solutions to project requirements.
One or more project surveyors are assigned to each project and are responsible for the production of procedures and methods in accordance with the requirements of each specific project and also with Sonsub’s own standards and specifications. Equipment, personnel and third party suppliers are selected, managed and supervised during planning and design phases as well as during offshore operations. Sonsub deploys offshore survey representatives to vessels offshore to act as quality controllers of the survey aspects of each project and to provide a focal point between project personnel and the survey sub-contractor.
In recent years, Sonsub has developed a cohesive set of survey specifications and procedures that cover project development through to operations and completion.
