Subsea Inspection

From our dedicated survey vessels, we provide comprehensive subsea inspection services for pipelines, risers, platforms, hulls and moorings.

ROVs are equipped with a wide range of sensors for imaging on and below the seabed, measuring the condition of subsea assets and detecting structural corrosion or damage.

Activities are supported by Sonsub’s highly experienced team of surveyors and Saipem’s vast engineering resource, providing clients with advice on trends and remedial action.

Subsea and Well Intervention

Sonsub’s services include subsea tree intervention, and choke and control pod replacement.

Sonsub can provide access to live wells for a range of intervention activities including:

	Well cleaning
	Cased-hole fishing
	Fluid displacement
	Cement or chemical shut-off and profile control
	Repairing tubing and casing leaks
	Fracturing
	Setting or retrieving artificial lift pumps

Pipeline Stabilisation and Repair

Stabilisation works include mattress installation, pipeline re-burial and placing grout bags or sleepers for span rectification.

Sonsub’s pipeline repair systems are designed to replace damaged sections of up to 40m in length, in water depths of over 2,000m, on inclines of up to 15°. Repair clamps can be fitted by divers or ROV.
